The Practice of Magical Evocation by Franz Bardon

The Practice of Magical Evocation is the second of Franz Bardon's books. The purpose of this book is to introduce the art of communicating with the beings in the beyond. This is not a recreational pursuit and Bardon treats it very seriously. Towards that end Bardon meticulously lays out the structure and order of the beings in the beyond within their respective spheres.

Because Divine Providence governs our Earth through this hierarchy of angelic beings Bardon makes it a point to separate fact from fiction by carefully explaining what life is like in the non-physical realms, the duties of the beings that live there and therefore also what is and is not possible metaphysically. This is also where most of our traditional fairy tales, folklore and superstitions through misinformation come from.

The Practice of Magical Evocation is divided into two parts: the first section deals with evocation theory and practice including the significance of the magic circle, triangle, the magic mirror, the magic wand, magic garments, magic sensor, magic sword, the significance of the various analogous colors in relation to the spheres and so forth. The second part discloses the hierarchy of the beings, genii and intelligences of the different spheres, their names, signatures, attributes, talents and specific fields of knowledge and influence.

It must however, be mentioned that you cannot succeed in contacting these beings unless you have practically and successfully completed the first volume Initiation into Hermetics.

This book represents the complete Second Tarot Card.
