Three Days In The Temple by Jakob Lorber

Three Days in the Temple by Jakob Lorber, as the title implies is about the Biblical account of the 12 year old boy Jesus teaching in the temple in Jerusalem. Although all Christians know that Jesus as a boy did this, very little is known about what He actually taught and said while He was there and why the amazement.

Christ teaching in the temple started out as an oral examination to test the knowledge of scripture that was given to all young boys at that time as they came of age. Christ seeing the hypocrisy of the pharisees proceeded to asked them questions on scripture which they, to their embarrassment, could not answer. Needless to say, some were amazed and some became quite incensed at the little boy demanding that he be silent and stop asking questions. Then the priesthood of the Sanhedrin was left speechless as a high Roman official attending the ritual and who was also fed up with this hypocrisy which as a way of life for the pharisees, demanded that the boy Jesus' questions be answered in full or else. (You could almost feel the anger and the sweat on their brow at their indignation at having to comply.) Christ even as a child unnerved the priesthood of His day and the controversy continues to this day.

It is also interesting to note that the Roman, like many other high Roman officials, recognized the extraordinary grandness and even the Deity of Christ and befriended Him. This book is another must read.
